Pejamajo Cafe is temporarily suspending it's Holliston operations on January 1, 2014. As you might imagine, this was not an easy decision.
We have delivered on our promise to provide Holliston with quality foods and beverages in a hospitable, clean, cozy space to eat, meet, read, write, blog, author books, listen to local entertainers and view images created by community artists. The fact that we have won awards for our food and our venue is truly gratifying. With 24 people on our payroll, we delivered on our promise to provide jobs for our community. Unfortunately, we have not delivered on our promise to routinely meet or exceed our customers’ needs for timely service. It is clear that despite everyone’s best efforts, our kitchen as designed in 2009 is not suited to deliver high quality meals consistently and quickly.
We are in discussions with potential business partners who understand the needs of the quick service market. They have the experience, contacts and relationships necessary to redesign our kitchen so that every member of our staff can efficiently prepare high quality, affordable meals. While we do not know yet exactly how long this project will take but estimate up to five months.
To the many loyal customers who have stood by us since 2009 and who we have come to know and appreciate, thank you. We welcome constructive suggestions: firstname.lastname@example.org.
